Carrigan Accounting Associates, LLC is a Certified Public Accounting firm based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, though our assignments span the globe, with extensive experience at Lloyd's (London Market).

This forensic accounting firm was established in 1971 by Charles W. Carrigan. Mr. Carrigan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), is a Certified Arbitrator and a Chartered Property Casulty Underwriter (CPCU). He also holds the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation as well. Mr. Carrigan remains a "hands-on" practitioner, overseeing professional staff throughout an assignment. He is a 1963 graduate of Northeastern University (Boston, Mass.) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Prior to his establishment of Carrigan Accounting Associates, LLC (formerly Carrigan Accountants, PC), he held the position of auditor with Hood & Strong, a Certified Public Accounting firm in California, as well as various financial positions within the retail industry, including financial analyst at Kaiser Industries.

Gwen R. Bedell has been with the company since 1999, and currently holds the position of manager. Ms. Bedell is a graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and also holds the Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designations from the AICPCU/IIA. Ms. Bedell is currently working toward her CPA and CPCU certifications. Prior to joining Carrigan Associates, she was a paralegal with the law firm of Cormier & Rasche where she gained experience in commercial litigation, personal injury, bankruptcy and real estate matters.
